New Delhi-based Alpinismo Online Ventures Pvt Ltd, the company which runs and operates Gigstart, an online marketplace for entertainers and party planners, has raised $210k in seed funding from a group of investors, including Snapdeal’s co-founders Rohit Bansal & Kunal Bahl, Indian Dream Capital and Rajesh Sawhney of GSF.

Narendra Singh Rawat, TA Venture Holding Limited, Roshan Abbas, and Anand Chandrasekaran also participated in this round of funding.

Gigstart was founded by Atit Jain, an Electronics and Instrumentation engineer, along with Madhulika Pandey, an Indian classical singer 2013. Its an online portal which makes finding and booking entertainment for your private and public events an easy task. With the help of Gigstart booking an artist is just a click away.

The company plans to use the raised funds to build technology infrastructure, create content and hire talent. Further, Gigstart will be using the funds for expanding to newer geographies, especially in Tier II and Tier III cities and Dubai and also for marketing activities.
