The ecommerce market is spreading like wildfire and with the heavy competition among different brands; numerous marketing strategies are being used by companies to get an edge over the others. One of these strategies, which is most commonly seen on the online platform today is cashbacks and coupon codes for discounts. Several online websites such as Flipkart, Freecharge, Amazon, Snapdeal provide numerous offers to its customers and to claim that offer one has to use the allotted coupon code at the time of the purchase.

But, how can one analyze the best deal on the product he desires to buy? Or how can one find out the discount offers most suitable to him? One can definitely not jump between different websites for hours to get himself some discount. And to sort out this problem, Cheatz has been designed. Cheatz is a coupon aggregator app which has been designed by team Freecharge to list down all the offers available on various e-commerce websites, making it easy for the users to sort out their requirements and choose accordingly.

How does this work?

  1. With a simple user interface, Cheatz allows users to access a catalogue of coupons for all the websites in one place.
  2. You can scroll through a list of handpicked coupons and select the one that you need.
  3. Once selected, you can click on the apply button and it will redirect you to the concerned app where the coupon is already applied.
  4. Once done with the payment, you will receive the cashback/discount, whichever applicable.

FreeCharge was founded in 2010 by Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon, head of technology conglomerate Tandon Group. In 2013, Alok Goel joined in the team as Chief Executive Officer after moving out of redBus.

Recently, it has raised $80 Mn in a new round of funding led by groups of investors including, San Francisco-based Valiant Capital Management and Hong Kong-based hedge fund Tybourne Capital Management. Its existing investors Sequoia Capital, along with Sofina and RuNet also participated in this round of funding.
