Former India president and head of corporate affairs at Tech Mahindra, Jagdish Mitra, has announced the launch of his new GenAI SaaS startup Humanize.

The startup will offer low code/no code GenAI-integrated industrial SaaS and hyper-automation solutions to enterprises.

In a statement, Humanize said it will provide GenAI-integrated sector specific industrial SaaS solutions as plug-and-play platforms built on enterprise SaaS stacks.

Its product stack includes tools like digital product engineering, analytics, CX, business process services, and talent management solutions. The startup will be targeting enterprises in the BFSI, retail and consumer goods, manufacturing, technology and media, and automotive sectors.

Besides India, the country will focus on the Middle East, and the US markets initially. In the long term, it plans to explore markets like Southeast Asia, Germany, the Nordics, the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan.

“We at Humanize have architected a platform that will integrate with global SaaS platforms to expedite time-to-market. Built on plug-and-play industry use cases on enterprise SaaS stack and powered by AI/GenAI accelerators, our solutions will help enterprises with faster time-to-market by 15-20%,” Mitra said in a post on LinkedIn.

In his post, Mitra said that his observation of cloud-native SaaS platforms revolutionising how enterprises respond to market demands led him to venture into the field himself.

Prior to taking the entrepreneurial plunge, Mitra was the president for India and helming the corporate affairs department at Tech Mahindra. His nine-year long stint with the company started back in 2015 when he joined as chief of strategy and marketing officer.

Notably, this was his second stint with IT major, having worked with it for 14 years till 2006. He left the company to set up end-to-end mobility solutions startup CanvasM Technologies, which was acquired by Tech Mahindra in 2014.

“With the advent of AI and GenAI, I saw an opportunity to turbo charge each of these aspects of Agility and Acceleration, and augment it with human Acumen to create contextualised solutions – build industry use-cases, on industry SaaS stack powered by AI and GenAI,” his post read.

Humanize is backed by digital talent solutions provider NLB Services. It has invested an undisclosed amount in Humanize, a majority of which will be directed toward scaling technology and R&D, developing the AI platform, creating CoEs, and expanding the workforce.

“This investment will allow us to expand our service offering portfolio and help us create additional avenues to work with our diverse range of clients globally,”  NLB Services’ CEO Sachin Alug said.

With the investment, Humanize is eyeing onboarding 80-100 customers and 100 interns in its initial years of operations.

The startup is looking to capitalise on the ongoing GenAI boom in the country. According to Inc42’s latest report, the Indian GenAI sector is projected to surpass $17 Bn by 2030, growing from $1.1 Bn in 2023.
