Rocket Internet backed, foodpanda has acquired Pune based food delivery portal TastyKhana.
The financial terms of the deal has been left undisclosed for now.
Launched back in 2007, TastyKhana had raised more than $5 Mn in investment from Delivery Hero in June 2013. As per the website, it currently lists about 9,000+ restaurants on its platform. It currently has its services in cities including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, among others.
According to the terms of the deal, post-acquisition TastyKhana will remain an independent brand.
Together, foodpanda and TastyKhana will partner with over 10,000 restaurants in India, covering over 173 cities.
Recently, Innovation sandbox, Ant Farm has also acquired Mumbai based online food delivery venture Meals on Wheels. Previously, Just Eat Group acquired online food ordering and table reservation services has bought Meal2Go.

With this foodpanda has also acquires the Mexican food delivery businesses PedidosYa, SeMeAntoja and Superantojo and targets market leadership in Mexico. And Delivery Hero has also acquired the hellofood businesses in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
