Pune-based sales intelligence startup Clodura.AI has raised $2 Mn (around INR 16.6 Cr) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by deeptech-focussed venture capital firm Bharat Innovation Fund, with participation from Malpani Ventures.

The startup will use the fresh funds to expand its user base and scale up its platform.

Founded by Kapil Khangaonkar in 2015, Clodura.AI is a sales engagement platform that provides contact and company information to accelerate sales growth. Its offerings include database, sales engagement and email verification among others. Companies like HCL, Hexaware Technologies, Monster, NoBROKER, Bosch, and CloudHedge are among its client.

It claims to have a global database that includes over 600 Mn contacts, over 18 Mn companies, and more than 120 Mn direct dials with 95% accuracy.

Khangaonkar said, “Clodura.AI is not just a tool, it is a crucial sales companion along the entire sales journey, enhancing every step with advanced AI to ensure salespersons close more deals.”

“Clodura.AI is tackling one of the most significant challenges in the sales industry: effective prospecting, lead nurturing and timely closure. Their innovative all-in-one platform replacing many other sales tools and use of proprietary AI models are not just improving sales processes but are revolutionising them, setting new standards for what can be achieved in sales outcomes,” said Shyam Menon, cofounder of Bharat Innovation Fund.

It competes against the likes of ZoomInfo, Slintel, EasyLeadz, LeadNXT and LeadRoad, among others in the sales contact lead generation segment.

At the heart of India’s broader enterprisetech segment, sales acceleration startups have started gaining momentum.

For instance, in May last year, sales acceleration startup RevenueHero raised $5.1 Mn in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners.

As per Inc42’s Indian Tech Startup Funding Report 2023, funding across enterprisetech space saw a 46% dip at 157 in 2023 from 292 in the previous year owing to its sensitivity to global macroeconomic changes as well as overall funding winter.
