About Vivek Wadhwa

Here are 6 interesting facts you should know about Vivek:

  1. He teaches subjects such as technology, industry disruption, entrepreneurship, and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Engineering. He has also held appointments at Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering, Stanford Law School, Harvard Law School, Emory University, and Singularity University.
  2. He was the Chief Technology Officer of Seer Technologies in the 90s and helped grow the nascent startup into a $118 million publicly traded company. He then started his own company Relativity Technologies in 1997 before getting into academics.
  3. He is based in Silicon Valley and has done extensive research in the policy, law, and ethics issues of exponential technologies that are becoming dominant in the fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, computing, synthetic biology, 3D printing, medicine, and nanomaterials. He has also been an advisor to several governments.
  4. He is the author of 4 books so far including – Innovating Women: The Changing Face of Technology, The Driver in the Driverless Car, The Immigrant Exodus, and Your Happiness Was Hacked. Find his books here.
