Keeping this in mind, a startup called as Room n House was created by Rakesh Singh and Amit Solanki which serves as a re-defined search engine for people who plan to list their properties and for guests who wish to look for an easier, unambiguous and secure alternative to expensive hotels

Room n House works on dual functionality,ie it serves as a refined search engine for people who plan to list their properties and for guests who wish to look for an easier, unambiguous and secure alternative to expensive hotels.
It offers Accommodation service for individual/vacationers, Corporate Stay Services and Hassle free Booking for Events &Conferences (Assigned Hospitality Manager) and Concierge Services (Events).
Adding on, the startup has also included cancellation policies to provide an easy service to their users. There is also a section called ’for a cause’ in which it aims to provide shelter to the needy ones.
A guest looking a for accommodation just need to search and book a place, and its done!
Seed funded by Euphoria Ventures (undisclosed), Room n House charges 8-12% booking fee from travellers. They have made listing free for hosts. Also, hosts can communicate with their guests before booking until host becomes 100% confident of the guests.
Out of the total travel and tourism market in India, share of startups like Room n House is ought to be about 15-20%. Since its launch in 2012, Room n House has already managed to sell over 5000+ nights and currently has around 2000+ listings on the platform.
The startup aims to achieve for its beautiful concept of connecting the hosts and the guests. It not only serves for the profit purposes but it also includes purposes of serving the ones in need by connecting the needy to the kind hosts.
Based out in Mumbai, Room n House is currently working with a six member team.
