Nasscom Plans To Take 25 Startups To Silicon Valley

IT industry body Nasscom is planning to take over 25 innovative Indian startups to Silicon Valley for a week long trip planned for next month as part of an attempt to highlight Indian technology entrepreneurship. The group will be attending two startup conferences i.e. Collision in Las Vegas and TiEcon in Santa Clara.

The delegation will have the opportunity to get inspired by participate in meetings, workshops, networking sessions, investor panels, expert roundtables and corporate briefings with subject matter experts and peers.

Being called as Nasscom Innotrek 2014, the visit is scheduled from May 11 to 18 and is part of Nasscom’s ambitious 10,000 Startups program. But the Delegates have to be responsible for their own air travel, visa applications fees & hotel accommodation expenses. A non-refundable Delegate Fee of Rs. 45,000 covers will be charged from the delegates.

The startups will also be visiting technology and consumer internet companies based in the Silicon Valley including What’sApp , Twitter and Uber. A few of the selected ventures include Eka Software Solutions, BookPad etc.
