There are times when you tap on a link from your Facebook app and then wait for the Facebook app to go into the background to launch a browser to open and load the link. The same thing happens with Twitter, where you aimlessly stare at the browser while it loads the entire webpage for you to browse.

Well, you won’t have to worry now because an app called Flynx has come to your rescue. The app smartly opens links and urls from different apps without switching between apps. It saves users’ time while the page loads in the background.  “It is a boon for 2G users” says one of the users.

Flynx intercepts any type of link when one taps on it from any application (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Google+ etc) and opens it in a very simple, intuitive and uninterrupted manner.

All that a user has to do is open a link from any android application in Flynx and continue using the app in it, without wasting time, watching an entire browser opening followed by the loading of the webpage.

By opening the links using Flynx, a small bubble with a progress loader sports on the screen boundary without switching the current application, just like Facebook chat heads. The bubble even shows the progress of the page load along with the number of tabs opened. So the user has the freedom to stay on the existing webpage and do more productive work and not wait for the other webpages to load.

This a great feature to satisfy the current ‘impatient’ generation. When the page loads,  the user can click on the bubble to browse through the webpages. The entire webpage loads in such a manner that one can continue using the previous application without any interruption. The bubble along with a count of the number of tabs flashes at the edge of the screen. And when it is clicked, an entire web page opens without  switching/closing the current app/webpage.

Each webpage can be further opened into article mode by tapping on the eye icon. The article mode is designed to remove the unnecessary distractions, making it clutter free for readers’ eyes. It has some basic reader options to resize the text size as well as switch to night mode.

The app is still in beta and has crossed over 11000 downloads within just 50 days of its launch in Google Playstore. With an average of 4.4 in playstore, it has received a great response so far.

Created by the Epigram Labs, Flynx makes it better for the users to stay at one webpage and continue opening links like how one does with the feature of ‘Open in New Tab‘ in laptops and computers. It changes the entire user experience and makes it even more lucrative for those who love to read and surf a lot through mobile phones.

Flynx was one of the top 3 teams who launched at our event, StartupDash earlier in July this year.
