Do you run a blog or a startup that depends on ads as it’s primary revenue source? If so, you’d know how hard it is to make money off of services like Google Ads. And if you don’t really know how to customize and target ads according to your website, you’re probably not making much at all then.
While some websites manage to make 40-45% of their total revenues via affiliate marketing, others hardly touch 5% due to weak advertising. The mundane style of ads often tends to be overlooked. Poor ad designs, placements, fonts, etc. do no good besides occupying space. Thus, making right changes is utterly necessary and requisite.
This is exactly where AdPushup comes in. AdPushup optimizes ads allowing publishers & bloggers to make more money from their existing website traffic without the need for any coding skills. AdPushup helps websites overcome banner blindness and monetize impressions lost to ad blocking software.
It works on similar lines as other A/B testing companies like Wingify and Optimizely. For those of you who are new to A/B testing, it can be used by marketers to tweak, optimize and personalize their websites to improve website sales and conversions. A/B testing quantifies the quality of current designs against it’s variant with a few changes made and validates the impact of the changes made. This accounts for the effectiveness of the changes and the degree of maximization of the desired outcome.
AdPushup uses advanced A/B Testing to compare between different ad variations like different placements. Different ad sizes can be tested with separately defined placements for mobile traffic. The ad optimization platform also lets you use custom AdSense ad sizes and test on multiple websites. After finding the best variation, it keeps a check on banner blindness to keep your placements optimized at all times and can help fight AdBlock.
The ad revenue optimization tool, AdPushup was founded in May 2013 by Ankit Oberoi and Atul Agarwal. The two have been entrepreneurs for a while now. Ankit started up Tamranda back in 2004 before getting together with Atul in 2007 to start Innobuzz Solutions, a knowledge solution providing company. The two have been in the services space and succeeded. Now, they’ve decided to plunge into products with AdPushup.
“Our target market is web publishers who are monetizing their websites on a CPC/PPC (Cost per Click, Pay per click) model. AdSense alone is a very large segment here considering Google pays out about $10 Billion annually to it’s AdSense network partners (more than 2 million publishers).” says Ankit Oberoi.
AdPushup launched it’s first free beta release in March 2014 and has served over 500,000 ad impressions in it’s first month itself. It further rose to 3 million and then 10 million in the subsequent months with a high retention rate. 85% of participating websites have seen a positive rise in revenues with an average 68 percent rise in RPM(eCPM).
