Armed with such developments, the digital payments industry in India is projected to touch the USD 500bn mark by 2020 and contribute a significant 15% of the country’s GDP, according to a Google India and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) study.

However, in spite of scripting such an exemplary growth story in such a short time, the current digital payments mechanism in India can still not cater to all user-cases and eventualities. In order to truly penetrate and humanize digital payments, a ‘sound’ solution is needed.
