Crank up the volume and soak up the words! Listen!
It is a strong message and one we should all live by. I am. Will you ?
How these 6 bullet points will make us unleash our best by focusing on our strengths, exploring our abilities and then execute it eventually:
1.Trust Yourself
The first level of trust is having it in yourself — trusting that your opinions impact someone and are valid. Even believing that your guess is as good as anyone else’s adds a level of personal trust and self-respect. Trust requires living in your own skin and focusing on your own cup of tea, recognizing your own authority as the very best arbiter of what is for you and what is not. Be Who do you want to be and not what you want to be. Focus on who do you want to be and just truly go for what your intuition and belief drives you.
2. Break The Rules
Be a Maverick !! In such a highly competitive world with neck to neck competition you can’t rely on traditional norms to get success; you will have to think outside the box. I recently asked a kid what is the colour of apple? He said inside or outside !! For me or infact any of matured like us would had replied answer as red so in some kind of way we have conditioned our minds according to theories of world. Now here is a quick puzzle to decide whether you are one with orthodox thoughts or believe in taking a multidimensional angle to complete your task –
Connect the 9 dots in 4 straight lines without raising the pencil –
So have you figured out the solution?; If yes then kudos to you. The only way to solve the puzzle is by thinking outside the box.
Here is the solution
While doing what you love don’t try to please everyone,as Viggo Mortensen has said “If you’re trying to please everyone, then you’re not going to make anything that is honestly yours, I don’t think, in the long run.”
3.Don’t be afraid to fail
We don’t want to fail. Failure (at least in India) is seen as an end point, more often than not. It’s seen as something to be avoided and shunned. Unless you’re in the business of brain surgery or janga, failure isn’t exactlyan end. So always stay positive and be never afraid of taking risks and exploring new arena. No one hits the jackpot in first try; preservance is what that pays off .
“I didn’t fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.” – Benjamin Franklin
TAKE RISKS IF YOU WIN,YOU WILL BE HAPPY and IF YOU LOSE,YOU WILL BE WISE.
4. Don’t listen to NaySayers !!
Make your own path; Once you decide to build or develop something learn whatever it is required to do it. You will have to experiment and act to make it a reality and from the time you start off their will be people who will first ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
5.Work Your Butt Off
Be a workafrolic; but now the question is what are advantages to be workafrolic ?
Be a workafrolic because –
Work Tops Talent.
Work Wins Over Smarts.
Most of the top entrepreneurs like Abraham Lincolm, Mahatma Gandhi, Bill Gates, Warren Buffets and there are many other great leaders and entrepreneurs were introvert at some time they always worked in silence and it was their work that always paid off.
Work Your Butt Off. You never want to fail because you didn’t work hard enough. Mohammed Ali, one of the great heroes, had this great line in the ’70s ..
6.Give Something Back To Society
“If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up not doing nothing for nobody.” ~ Malcom Bane
Even if you are able to educate a single child, bring a smile on someone’s face, help someone through an advice or provide medicines to a needy guy that’s a very noble deed.
Do something which will surely be considered as a milestone in development of society empowered with authenticity !!
Here is the summary of all the 6 points mentioned by Arnold –
On concluding note; There is only one statement that will matter “I DID IT”
Yes the moment you utter these 3 words from your mouth you will have the feeling of success and success for me is “Long Lasting and Unending Happiness”
