Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan Ventures Backs Brand Licensing Startup Black White Orange

Mumbai-based brand licensing startup Black White Orange Brands has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan Ventures.

As part of the deal, the startup will also create & manage YouWecan merchandise.

This two months old startup plans to build licensing solutions for brands across sports, entertainment and lifestyle space.

Founded in June 2015 by Bhavik Vora, Black White Orange, provides merchandising solutions and helps brands, celebrities, media and retailers find ways to strengthen their relationship with consumers. The startup offers services in retail, distribution, syndication, brand consulting, brand loyalty strategies and creative solutions both within India and overseas.

The startup counts brands like YouWeCan and US-based design house & licensing company bCreative as its key accounts to build brand licensing solutions for. The startup is also associated with the popular TV show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Further, Black White Orange is planning to create its own IPs in the kids as well as youth space.

The Black White Orange team comprises of three core members including two other co-founders Mitali Desai & Diksha Mehta.

Investing in the startup, Yuvraj Singh, cricketer & founder of YouWeCan Venture said, “In the current startup funding scenario, my team and I are looking for innovative investment opportunities for young businesses and budding entrepreneurs.”

Yuvraj’s YouWCan venture has backed about nine startups till date that include SportyBeans, Vyomo, Healthians.com, Moovo, Healthians, EduKart and JetSetGo.
