Our country woke up this week, still euphoric from India’s phenomenal silver win at the Rio Olympics. This year, the youth dominated, the young thrived. They carried forward the torch of ideas and execution to make India a pool brimming with opportunities.

To be a part of the change, to envelope the power of ideas around you and to embrace the enlightened cultural consciousness is what it means to be an empowered youth.

With this in mind, Shaili Chopra has conceptualised the first Young Makers Conclave. The event will put the spotlight on India’s youth and their desire to contribute to India through real change.

Young Makers Conclave makes the country’s youth its focal point of attention. An unconference, driven by the philosophy of ideas, innovation and impact; all coming out of India’s powerhouse generation. It aims at creating a space where young thinkers, entrepreneurs, politicians, creators, ideators, educationists, policy-makers all come together to initiate a dialogue, exchange ideas and disrupt the status-quo.

Shaili Chopra has roped in Samir Saran and Amrita Tripathi as co-curators and expects to add a few more.

Who, What, Where

The speakers have come together from various facets of our society such as policy making, politics, literature, spirituality, business, startups to provide a common platform to the future leaders of India.

Young Makers Conclave will house some eminent speakers and think tanks of the country, with a talk by Union Minister Piyush Goyal; Atul Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary; DIPP; Puneet Dalmia, M. D, Dalmia Bharat; Amish Tripathi, author; Ritesh Mehta, Head of Economic Initiatives, South-Asia, Facebook; and Aneesh Madani, Head of Sports Partnerships, Twitter India among others.

“The Conclave takes a different path from other business meets happening in the country, aiming to widen the canvas of conversations. The idea is to contribute to the intellectual capital of the nation and aim at holistic development of entrepreneurship,” said Shaili Chopra.

The event will have panel discussions and individual sessions. It will also be house to an event called Bhagvad gita in 25 tweets with author Meghna Pant.

This meet will have exciting opportunities for the youth to explore and enrich their minds and cultivate passions. The conclave plans to create a ‘thinking ecosystem’ where the ideas can be turned into a definitive and meaningful reality for the country and its people.

The conclave reaches out to the youth by giving them a platform to think and grow together. The event will take place in Hotel Lalit, New Delhi. The schedule for the same will be out shortly.

Young Makers Conclave is partnered by Dalmia Bharat, Inc42, SheThePeople.TV, CNBC, Twitter and The Lalit.
