After announcing its plans to launch Homestays for budget accommodation segment in the country, Gurgaon-based online travel agency (OTA) and a travel search engine, Yatra.com, has launched TG Rooms and TG Stays in over 60 cities.
Adapting to the changing travel audience, pattern of stays and presence of budget accommodation players, Yatra planned to expand its presence in the budget accommodation segment in the country.
In August this year, the company had announced plans to launch homestay accommodation at about 14 leisure destinations and eight business centres of the country.
With TG Rooms and TG Stays, Yatra is looking at expanding its inventory further and offer travellers a diversified portfolio of budget accommodation options. TG Rooms will cater to budget travellers providing hotel and guesthouse options while, TG Stays will offer verified home stays across the major destinations in the country.
The newly launched feature will be available in 60 cities priced starting from INR 499 that will meet all the basic standards of hygiene, and offer amenities like free wifi and air conditioning.
Yatra.com’s President Sharat Dhall said, “Growing our hotel business is a key focus for us and the launch of TG Rooms and TG Stays is another step in the same direction.”
Yatra.com, along with TG Rooms and TG Stays, now has inventory of 40,000 stay options across over 1,100 cities in India.
