Artificial Intelligence startup Yana has raised an undisclosed amount of seed round funding from Hong Kong based investors led by Puneet Gupta of Goldman Sachs.

Founded in May 2015 by Rahul Gupta, Ankit Sharma and Aashish Gupta, Yana AI is a completely automated chat-based engine to get groceries, cabs, services and contacts. The startup’s vision is to create an app to get everything a user needs.

Besides, the app also allows users to compare prices and services across multiple vendors to help them make an intelligent and informed choice.

Currently, Yana is operational in most major Indian cities which include Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad among others.

The raised capital will be used to expand into more categories including recharges, food, travel, shopping and more.

The startup has tie-ups with PepperTap, ZopNow, Ola, Uber, HouseJoy, EasyFix, JetSetClean among others.

Facebook is trying out the same thing with M, the social network’s text-based virtual assistant, and is limited to a number of users in San Francisco.
