What’sOnRent Raises Funding From CommonFloor Co-founder & Others

Bangalore-based online rental platform, What’s On Rent, raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding from Lalit Mangal (co-founder of CommonFloor) and Neeraj Gupta (co-founder of Excubator). Angel investor Sanjay Gupta and Bangalore-based software firm Nixel Technology also participated in this round.

The raised capital will be used for introducing more categories on the website and to expand the core operations and technology team.

Founded in July 2015 by Bharat Goyal, Sulabh Jain and Shreyans Shrimali, What’s On Rent, provides home appliances, laptops, furniture, party items, medical equipment, etc. on rent.

Sulabh Jain, co-founder of What’sOnRent, said, “Our vendor relationships, quality processes, streamlined payments and customer verification will help scale and maintain edge over the competition.”

Other players in this segment include Rentomo, FlatFurnish, CityFurnish, RentOnGo, etc. Earlier this month, Bangalore-based Rentomo, raised $100K in a seed round of funding.
