Around 600 Uber drivers, today, pelted stones and vandalized Uber’s HSR office in Bangalore protesting against reduction of incentives by the firm.

The San Francisco- based startup, has been attracting the drivers with posters stating that a driver could earn upto INR 90,000 a month with Uber. However, drivers now complain that the incentives are not enough.

When Uber started its operations, in order to bring more drivers on board, it would pay them a monthly amount, irrespective of the number of rides. With time, it removed this incentive. It even started charging INR 300 from drivers a weekly fee for internet etc.

Last month, over 20,000 Uber drivers had protested against Uber in Bangalore. In August, over 500 registered drivers in Hyderabad held protests against Uber for not meeting its commitment on business and giving incentives.
