Uber And T-HUb Invite Applications For UberEXCHANGE Programme 2017 In San Francisco

T-Hub has invited applications from startups to be part of the ‘UberEXCHANGE’ Programme in San Fransisco.

UberEXCHANGE is a global mentorship programme undertaken by Uber with a focus to advance the startup ecosystem. The initiative aims to help the entrepreneurs navigate the startup’s growth path through knowledge sharing, access to right tools, visibility and market reach.

Startups offering innovative solutions in the agritech, healthtech, fintech, smart city, sustainability, social impact, and transportation & logistic sectors can apply for the event. Also, startups who are mentored through the UberEXCHANGE programme in 2016 and social innovators working towards solving pressing societal issues with a potential to scale up can participate in the programme.

Jay Krishnan, CEO, T-Hub said, “We introduced the T-Bridge initiative a couple of months back to make programmes like UberEXCHANGE accessible to Indian startups. With this strategic partnership with Uber, we are co- creating a global platform for select startups with a high innovation quotient to be showcased and scaled.”

Around 20 startups will be selected from the total applications received, followed by another round of screening where the final 10 startups would be selected.

The selected startups will travel to the Uber Headquarters in San Francisco and would also get an opportunity to interact with global investors, fellow entrepreneurs and the Uber leadership team. The startups will also receive a nominal stipend from Uber for up to two people per startup to facilitate their stay in the Valley. Khaitan & Co has also agreed to facilitate 20 hours of free legal ccounsellingfor startups selected through this program.

The entries for application closes on December 2, 2016. The results would be announced by December 2016. The selected top 10 will travel to San Francisco in February, 2017.
