Y-Combinator backed Tech in Asia, an online platform for Asia’s startup ecosystem, has secured a total of $4Mn in the round led by SB ISAT Fund, which counts SoftBank and Indosat as its key partners and other investors including Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook, Walden International, Marvelstone, m&s Partners, and Andrew James Solimine, co-founder of Nitrous. The round also attracted existing investors including East Ventures, Fenox Venture Capital and Simile Venture Partners.
Commenting on the investment, Willis Wee, founder and CEO of Tech in Asia said “This investment will be used to evolve Tech in Asia’s businesses so that we can better serve the needs of our community.”
Recently, Tech in Asia has been innovating their portal with features like integrated Techlist, a platform for investors and founders to connect. According to a press statement, the team is actively looking to expand, and welcomes all who are interested to explore career opportunities with them.
Singapore-based Tech in Asia was founded by Willis Wee in 2010. It is an online platform for Asia’s startup community run by a team of 70 based all across Asia and the US. Previously, Company had raised $2.89Mn in Seed, Series A and (dual) Series B rounds from the investors including East Ventures, Fenox Venture Capital and Simile Venture Partners.
