Telangana To Get Country’s Largest Incubation Centre, T-Hub, This September

Tata Sons chairman emeritus and a noted industrialist Ratan Tata, will inaugurate Telangana’s Technology Incubation Centre, T-Hub, in the first week of September to promote startups.

According to Jayesh Ranjan, secretary of Information & Communications Technology (ICT), the first phase of T-hub, which can accommodate over 800 startups with an area over 60,000 square feet; will become the biggest technology incubation centre in India. He added, “Before we host World IT Congress in 2018 in Hyderabad, we want to be ready with second phase of T-Hub, which will house over 5,000 startups in a built-up space of 300,000 sq ft.

The incubation centre will be coming up on the campus of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Gachi Bowli. Besides, Telangana government is taking up the country’s biggest technology incubator by collaborating with Indian School of Business (ISB), the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad) and NALSAR University of Law among other organisations.

Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) focuses to enhance employability quotient of young graduates in the state and enable them to choose multiple avenues as they graduate. TASK enables a collaboration platform between government, academia and industry to enhance skilling, research and entrepreneurship among youth in Telangana.

Besides, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also coined a slogan on his Independence Day speech, “Startup India and Standup India”. While the finance ministry of India has launched India Aspiration Fund with an outlay of INR 12,000 Cr. to be invested in various venture funds.
