The app-based hyperlocal fashion commerce startup, Shopsity, has launched a new feature for its consumers that allow them to reserve the product of their choice and pick at their available time.

The feature will be available in across 1000 stores in Delhi. With the ‘Reserve & Pick’, the customers will also be benefitted with the cashback.

Shopsity that started with an aim to blend the convenience of online with the offline shopping, has been working towards building a robust O2O marketplace that provides touch and feel as the important user experience.

Recently, Shopsity announced its foray into furniture, jewellery and other categories.

Danish Ahmed, founder of Shopsity, said, “Over $4 Bn have been spent by ecommerce companies over the last few years, yet only 50 Mn Indians have ever bought online and 0.3 Mn sell online. The numbers in touch and feel categories are even lower. Even if ecommerce grows to 500%, it’ll still be less than 10% of Indian retail. O2O retail (online to offline) is therefore a much larger opportunity. I think ‘Reserve & Pick’ will become a larger phenomenon than ‘Add to cart,’ because it is natural and simpler. The pain with offline retail is information gap, and that’s where we come in.”

The company raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Shopclues founder, Sandeep Aggarwal and Netprice founder, Teruhide Sato in July this year and is looking for another raise soon.
