Gurgaon-based on-demand hyperlocal delivery services startup, Shadowfax, has raised about $300K in an angel round led by Kunal Bahl, Rohit Bansal, Zishaan Hayath (Powai Lake Ventures) & Prashant Malik (Limeroad).
The funds will be utilised in strengthening its team and expand into 10 more cities in the next one year. Besides, the company is also aiming to expand its efficient logistical infrastructure to multiple other categories.
Shadowfax was launched in 2015 by Vaibhav Khandelwal and Abhishek Bansal. It is an on demand delivery service that takes care of delivery requirements of local businesses. Due to its hyper-local delivery network and logistics technology, merchants can deliver to their customers in cost effective and hassle free way.
It offers features like automatic rider scheduling, seamless App communication, instant feedback, geo-based tracking, and location-based rider allocation; it also ensures 100% product delivery assurance.
The company charges its customers on a pay-per-delivery model based on distance and required service quality. Few of its merchants include, YoChina, Chaayos, Dana Choga’s Kitchen and Pind Baluchi.
Moreover, Shadowfax has a strategic tie-up with NSDC’s training partners to enhance skills of riders and provide customized training.
With 35+ employees and 350+ riders, the startup is creating brand value through its fast, reliable and accurate delivery network that provides merchants with the most cost-effective and convenient delivery solutions.
Operational in Delhi-NCR, the company’s daily order reaches about 3000 and has a customer base of 150 outlets.
