Mumbai–based Sabse Technologies, a global Wi-Fi first carrier and also the company behind Sabsebolo has raised an undisclosed amount in funding led by Ratan Tata.
The raised funds will help Sabse to expand its Wi-Fi first cellular service to customers worldwide.
Founded in 2008 by Sabeer Bhatia (co-founder of Hotmail) and Yogesh Patel, Sabse is known for building a scalable cloud communications platform which provides developers with a robust infrastructure to develop voice and text applications. It’s first product, Sabsebolo, is a cloud-based voice conferencing and fax-to-email service. It currently provides audio conferencing services to over 500,000 small businesses.
Currently, Sabsebolo has points of presence in six cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
Speaking on the development, Yogesh Patel, President of Sabse said, “Ratan Tata possesses extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, having built Tata Communications into a leading global company. His expertise and insight will be immensely helpful as Sabse expands its Wi-Fi first cellular service to consumers worldwide.”
Recently, Ratan Tata also joined in as investor and advisor in LetsVenture.
