Rainmaker Ventures Invests $5 Mn In Digital Content Service Provider YAAP

Rainmaker Ventures has invested over $5 Mn in digital content service provider, YAAP. This marks Rainmaker’s second investment after it recently invested $1 Mn in Mumbai-based startup, Limo. With this, Atul Hegde, co-founder, Rainmaker Ventures will join the YAAP board.

Mumbai-based YAAP was founded by digital media professionals, Nikhil Bapat and Manan Kapur  It focuses on branded content, digital show formats, syndication, brand and visual identity, offers organised influencer research and outreach, and looks at programmatic content placement, alliances and channel partnerships.

YAAP will use the current round of funding for improving branding and visual identity, automated content creation and content distribution platforms. The funds will also be utilised for YAAP’s expansion plans in Singapore and U.S. where they plan to open offices by early next year.

Founded by Sudhir Menon and Atul Hegde, Rainmaker Ventures currently has operations in India, USA, Brazil and Singapore. It was launched in December last year with an initial corpus of $50 Mn to invest in early stage companies.
