Online classifieds portal Quikr has launched on-demand beauty service ‘AtHomeDiva’ within its category of QuikrServices. The launch follows Quikr’s recent acquisition of in-home beauty service provider, Salosa in May.
AtHomeDiva provides a wide range of beauty and styling services at home. It includes skincare, bodycare, haircare and make-up services, and special packages fulfilled by qualified beauticians. This service is currently available on Quikr app and website. However it may soon be launched as a separate app.
Pranay Chulet, founder and CEO, Quikr said that the startup was able to on-board a large number of beauty experts from QuikrJobs. However, on the demand side, the business already had an access to a large base of women users from QuikrServices, QuikrGoods and QuikrHomes.
AtHomeDiva currently offers its services in Delhi, Gurgaon and Bangalore, and plans to scale up its operations in multiple cities.
Quikr is an online platform that lists services in the organised and unorganised sector. It had acquired online realty portal CommonFloor in a stock-and-cash deal for $200 Mn last year. This was Quikr’s biggest strategic move in the real estate category since the launch of QuikrHomes.
Earlier this month, Mumbai-based beauty chain Enrich Salon acquired on-demand beauty platform Belita for an undisclosed amount. Prior to this in April 2016, salon chain Naturals invested $15 Mn in Vyomo and re-branded it as Naturals@Home.
