Jodhpur-based Qriyo Infolabs, a startup that aims to provide avenues for a fitter & active lifestyle, has raised $160K in its seed round of funding from early-stage venture capital firm, Idein Ventures.

As part of the investment deal, Idein Ventures’ Ashwin Srivastava will join Qriyo’s board of Directors.

Founded in 2015 by Mudit Jain and Rishabh Jain, Qriyo, offers plethora of courses at home from wide domains including academics, co-curricular, extracurricular and fitness with philosophy. These semi-customisable courses offer quick, focused learnings with qualified, trained instructors and powerful curriculum.

Speaking about Qriyo, Mudit said, “A year ago I was searching for a yoga provider and even after endless search through aggregators and marketplaces, I could not find a suitable match. Only persons with very high motivation will go through endless jumble of phone numbers, demos and cancelled sessions to find a suitable instructor. The current market is lacking reliable provider for home based learnings, with Qriyo we wish to solve the problem in holistic way. We wish to make home learning convenient, reliable and affordable.”

With a vision of creating a “new breed of offline freelancers”, Qriyo aims to provide employment opportunity to skilled individuals in their respective domains, encouraging skill development on a large scale.

The startup is currently active in Jodhpur and is now looking for expansion to Mumbai and Bangalore.

Qriyo will use the raised capital for developing technology, marketing and team expansion.

Speaking about Qriyo, Rajeshwar Prasad, partner at Idein Ventures said, “Qriyo is not a curated marketplace or an aggregator like many other players in the market. It offers those services which it takes full responsibility for, and uses intelligent technology to control that. This makes it very interesting.”

Besides the portal, the company will soon launching its Android and iOS App, that will provide options for customization of courses, instructor replacement, group discovery and progress meter.
