Gurgaon-based on-demand concierge service startup, Qlivery, has raised $230K from Hong Kong-based Swastika, reported ET. Also, the startup is in talks to raise around $4 Mn in its Pre-Series A round.

Qlivery was founded in 2015 by Karan Saharan, Chetan Agarwal, Sonal Saraogi, Shivani Agarwal and Rohit Pansari. It provides personal assistance to customers so that they can get their shopping done in real-time.

Customers can delegate daily tasks such as taking out photocopies, depositing cheques in banks, booking movie tickets, equipment repairs, etc., to Qlivery and can expect it to be completed within 90 minutes. The startup runs its own delivery fleet which collects and delivers items according to customer’s needs and takes a delivery charge for every order.

Qlivery is presently operational in Gurgaon and claims to have served 12,000 customers. It plans to expand its services to Delhi-NCR by April 2016 and to Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and Mumbai, by the end of 2016.

The raised capital will be utilised for team expansion, geographical reach and add more customers. “The team believes technology and analytics is the heart of the business and thus, a substantial amount of the current fund-raise will be used to improve the technology stack, including implementation of artificial intelligence,” said Rohit Pansari, co-founder at Qlivery.

Prior to this, the startup raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Chandigarh Angels Network (CAN) to scale its operations and enhance its technology, especially implementation of artificial intelligence (AI).

This space already counts players like Joe Hukum, Helpchat, Lookup, Haptik, Goodservice among others. Earlier this month, chat-based concierge services startup, Wishup, raised a seed round of funding from TracxnLabs, 500 Startups and Mato Peric. In December 2015, Joe Hukum raised an undisclosed sum in seed funding from TracxnLabs, Jitendra Gupta and Prashant Tandon. Besides,  last year Lookup raised $2.5 Mn in Series A funding, Helpchat raised over $16 Mn (INR 100 Cr.) in Series B round.
