Perfumery, an ecommerce platform that sells fragrances, has raised $30K (INR 20 Lac) in its seed round of funding led by Delhi-based Oranda Global and other angel investors.
The newly raised capital will be used for Phase 2 of expansion and for creation of a specialised marketplace dedicated to luxury perfumes.
Founded in August 2015, by Mohit Khatri, Tushar Patel and Shaurya Kiran, Perfumery, provides specialised sampling services for high end luxury fragrances. The company launched its website in January 2016 and has grossed sales over INR 4 Lac.
Mohit Khatri, founder of Perfumery said, “The Phase 2 of Perfumery’s expansion will be focused on ‘Designer’ where other online sellers will be allowed to register their listings of fragrances. To ensure uniformity in price, we ensure one product is sold by one seller and therefore no price war.”
