Gurgaon-based on-demand grocery delivery startup PepperTap has launched a dedicated app for its vendor partners.

The app will enable vendors to analyse their performance on PepperTap’s platform along with allowing them to manage inventory efficiently.

Navneet Singh, founder and CEO, PepperTap said, “When non-essentials are out of stock at a vendor store, we follow a process where these are automatically removed from the app. Now, when the vendor procures the products again, he/she will be able to make them available on the app with just a click of a button.”

The app is presently in the pilot phase and allows a vendor to even get insights on best-selling products from his/her store across categories. Going forward, PepperTap plans to integrate this service with WhatsApp.

PepperTap kick started its operations in November 2014, and since then it has expanded to 18 cities across India with an employee strength of 1200. In September 2015, it raised $40 Mn in Series B round from Snapdeal and other investors. It also acquired Jiffstore at the same time. Besides, after the fund raise and acquisition, Peppertap had planned to introduce a vendor app in two versions – one for organised retail chains and another for standalone vendors.

The company competes with other grocery marketplaces such as Grofers, ZopNow and other inventory-led firms such as BigBasket and EkStop.
