In a bid to take customer experience to the next level, mobile commerce company, Paytm, will now allow Mobile Wallet top up through Bank ATMs.

The service has been launched with Bank of Maharashtra to provide a unique Wallet top up service to its customers. This partnership will enable the bank’s customers to top up their Paytm Wallet through any of the Bank’s 1800 ATMs using their debit cards.

The Bank of Maharashtra debit card users will now be able to make their mobile or utility bills payment, shop online at several destinations or pay for services such as cab fare and more, just by topping up their Paytm mobile wallets through the Bank’s ATMs.

The initiative will be rolled out across the country over the next few days.

Nitin Misra, Vice President at Paytm, said “We are excited at rolling out the feature of topping up the Paytm Wallet through bank ATMs. This first of its kind wallet top up feature through the Bank ATMs is bound to make transactions easier and more accessible to everyone and we see this as a significant step towards powering cash free transactions.”

Alibaba Group backed Paytm claims to process 75 Mn transactions every month from 100 Mn users. The company has recently introduced cashless payments using QR Codes for offline retailers & shopkeepers.
