Taxi-hailing App Ola has announced the launch of “Ola Select”, a benefit program for its loyal customers. “Ola Select” will provide its customers with a series of benefits such as free in-cab Wi-fi, free upgrades and special discounts including a variety of exclusive benefits from the partner brands like Myntra, Snapdeal and Cleartrip.
According to the company, customers will be invited to the “Ola Select” program based on parameters such as their behaviour and frequency of traveling.
The offer will be applicable only in few cities which includes Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi; and is applicable on upto 20 rides per customer.
With this programme, Ola will also be able to offer exclusive access to events and custom-built experiences in future.
Ola has come a long way since its launch in 2011 by Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati. Currently, the company has operations in more than 100 cities in India and is aiming for gross revenue of $1 Bn by the end of 2015.
The company has recently grabbed an undisclosed amount of funding from Ratan Tata. Earlier in April this year, it had also raised its Series E round of funding of $400 Mn led by DST Global with participation from GIC, Falcon Edge Capital and existing investors SoftBank Group, Tiger Global, Steadview Capital and Accel Partners US.
