Delhi-based SaaS marketplace platform for OOH (Out-of-Home) advertising, Oi Media has raised an undisclosed amount of Seed funding from early-stage VC fund Quarizon. With this move, Alok Kumar Goel, Principal Advisor at Quarizon will join the team’s board and provide strategic mentorship.

Founded as an experiential media agency by Praphul Mishra in 2015, Oi media pivoted to a SaaS platform for stakeholders in the media industry. The startup aims to connect media sellers and buyers to discover, plan, and transact.

Commenting on the funding Praphul Misra, founder of Oi Media said, “Oi Media significantly increases the ease of doing business among various stakeholders in the media industry. We are really grateful and excited to have Quarizon on board who have an engaged set of professionals who add value right from the time of initial discussions to regular on-going reviews. As an immediate step, we would be launching a host of value-added services in ‘audience measurement’ and analytics”.

Oi Media offers a proprietary, technology-enabled platform backed by quantifiable and measurable metrics, to media space owners (reseller/ aggregators), intermediate service provider agencies, and advertisers.

It facilitates reduced time cycles at each stage of business, due to quick access to stored information and easy-to-use templates covering all the stages from enquiry to billing.

Prior to this in December 2016, private equity firm KKR-backed investment platform, Emerald Media, led $35 Mn in Series D round of funding in cloud-based geo-targeted ad firm, Amagi Media Labs. In May 2016, Mumbai-based adtech startup Machadalo raised $175K in a Seed round of funding from IIT alums, serial entrepreneurs, angels, and a few fund managers.
