Gurgaon-based, Momzjoy.com an ecommerce portal designed to offer fashionable and stylish clothes for moms-to-be won the pitch on the Angel Summit stage.

For winning the startup pitch Momzjoy received INR 25K From KGS.

Founded in November 2015 by Computer Science engineers Kriti Baveja and Divya Gupta, the ecommerce platform offers maternity clothes, pregnancy and nursing wear. The startup is currently aiming at scaling the business.

The runner up on the competition was Ahmedabad-based Wockito, a business card management app, also received INR 25K from ‘Empower’ by Zone Startups.

Ten women-led startups were chosen from hundreds of applicants to pitch on the Angel Summit stage. The judging panel comprised eminent Venture Capital firms and Angel Investors. Saha Fund, Unitus Seed Fund and Cross Border Angels with mentors from Facebook and NASSCOM. Tinder’s COO for India -Taru Kapoor was also a part of the panel.

Other startups that pitched at the summit included Bambooz, Chics Connect, Blow UpKakcho, and Petdom.

Founded by Sita Pallacholla and Kiran Maverick, The Angel Summit is a part of Angel Hub, an initiative that focuses on education, mentorship, and acceleration for women. It is an umbrella of initiatives focused on providing growth platforms for female entrepreneurs, building access to industry specific mentorship, and facilitating tech education for young women.

The summit brings together innovative and inspiring women across the globe to discuss, debate, inspire, and turn ideas that matter into action. It showcases inspiring journeys of progressive women, success stories, breakthrough dialogue on women in entrepreneurship, and stimulating panel discussions.
