Bangalore-based mobile payment app Momoe is increasing its users convenience by providing cashless payment in Bangalore.

The company has partnered with Autos to help commuters make cashless payment. It has already tied up with 1000+ auto drivers in Bangalore to take the convenience to next level.

On this development, Karthik Vaidyanathan, co-founder of Momoe said, “Carrying cash and finding small change is a recurring problem for auto commuters and drivers in Bangalore. Our new initiative is an endeavour to bring them on a single platform providing more convenience and a seamless experience of cashless payments.”

Currently, drivers from ‘Namma Auto’ and ‘Peace Auto’ as clusters have taken initiatives and have started accepting the payment through this app. Consumers will be able to easily identify autos that offer the online payments by spotting through the GPS tracker.

Upon reaching the desired destination, commuters will simply have to enter the driver’s mobile number and the auto fare in the App to make the payment to the driver.

The payment options that available are credit cards, debit cards and net banking. Besides, it also allows the merchants to enable loyalty programs and send targeted offers to Momoe users. Thus, enabling a quick, convenient, user-friendly and cashless way of making payments.

Momoe was founded in 2014 by Karthik Vaidyanathan and Utkarsh Biradar. It is a mobile payments app for users to pay at brick and mortar (offline) merchants like restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, spa, salons, live restaurant billing, splitting the bill along with tips to the waiter is another unique feature of this app.

Karthik said, “Our vision of mobile payments when people eat out, shop and commute is now possible. With a network of 1000 restaurants and retail stores and 1000 autos in Bengaluru, Momoe users can truly go cashless.”

In fact, as part of its plan to enhance a customer’s experience, Momoe is also offering 100% cash-back on the first payment and 10% cash-back on all subsequent payments for users.  Momoe will prove to be a great alternative for traditional swiping machine once it gains enough traction. Another icing on the cake is that users can pay any amount as small as Rs 20, this feature can shape up as a game changer.

In the same space, yesterday a Gurgaon-based mobile wallet company MobiKwik launched its ‘Cash Pickup’ service for the users to recharge their wallet instantly. The service is a facility that allows users to add cash in their wallet by paying cash to the company’s agent.
