In a bid to expand its payment reach across South Asia, global digital media company, migme, has entered into a strategic alliance with India’s Paytm, Indonesia’s Mimopay and Nepal’s eSewa.

The addition of these new partners will help migme expand its payment capabilities. The new payment partners will also provide migme their user base with  more options and opportunities to purchase migme’s premium services in a seamless and efficient manner.

While eSewa is already available to migme users in Nepal, Paytm and Mimopay integration will be done in the first quarter of 2016.

Australia based migme ltd. is a digital media company which delivers social entertainment services through its portfolio brands migme, LoveByte, alivenotdead and Sold out of which migme is the primary social entertainment platform supporting other brands.

Migme’s services include chat, microblogging and entertainment content to acquire new users. It is available on Android and iOS and desktop web.

Here’s a trajectory of migme’s key partners in the South Asia region:

  • India based Paytm, an online payment and ecommerce platform processes over 10 Mn transactions per month with the help of its digital wallet. With this partnership in place, migme can access Paytm’s wallet and shop through the ‘Pay with Paytm’ channels from over 1500 merchants and via other platforms including web, mobile, apps, SMS and IV. Users can add money to their digital wallet via net banking, credit/ debit/ cash cards and Paytm cash.
  • Mimopay is an internet service provider based out of Indonesia. It has processed over 300K transactions per month for 200 plus active products and has served over 1 Mn paid gamers. The partnership will help migme users to buy credits which redeemed on migme’s premium services. It also offers the flexibility to top-up an account by adding value or purchasing vouchers/prepaid cards using Mimopay’s network of convenience stores (180+7-eleven outlets), Telco’s and at ATMs using its e-wallet services.
  • Nepal based eSewa is a digital payment portal which facilitates financial transactions via web and mobile based services. The partnership with migme will enable its users to buy redeemable credits for premium services offered. Migme users can also top-up their account by adding payment through mobile and Internet banking or through one of its 31 local affiliated banks and partner businesses.
