Microsoft Ventures has announced the names of 12 startups that have been selected for its 8th Accelerator batch of its Hi-Po & Scale Up Program. The cohort was selected from over 2100 applications.
For little over a year now, the Microsoft Ventures team tried to reimagine the accelerator program as ‘late stage startup ready’. Thereby, not limiting to just raising funds, but to also help them scale, develop go-to market strategies and help them gain Traction.
Collectively, these startups have raised close to $18 Mn in funding, by the likes of Qualcomm, Sequoia, Mumbai Angels and growX Ventures.
Meet The 12 Startups That Have Made It To The Final List:
Admission Table: Admission Table helps students find the right information to study overseas: university shortlisting, admission counselling, scholarships & financing, and tutoring for SAT/GRE/GMAT/TOEFL/IELTS.
Altizon: Altizon helps businesses to build an IoT product in weeks by providing device connectivity kits, a device management layer, a real-time, big-data analytics engine and alerting & monitoring services. Its flagship platform ‘Datonis’ integrates with the company’s existing IT systems to provide a seamless transition between IoT devices and IT management tools.
Aureus Analytics: Aureus Analytics is a provider of advanced Big Data Analytics platform and products for the Insurance and Banking industry. Its products are based on four disciplines – Data Sciences, Advanced Analytics, Big Data and the Domain capabilities. Together it allows them to develop business problem specific solutions for Insurance and Banking.
BabyChakra: Mumbai-based Babychakra helps young parents discover and select services for their kids. By connecting moms and by sharing to their recommendations, BabyChakra helps to make meaningful decisions about services and products for mother and baby.
Bizom: Bizom is a mobile first retail commerce solution that aims to bring India’s offline distribution to online. It is a powerful mobile cloud solution, which provides real time communication and powerful analytics for Sales, Distribution, Strategy, HR and Branding.
Calm.io: Calm.io is a complete DevOps Automation Platform for modern environments comprised of containers, clouds and micro services. Teams can effortlessly deploy, manage and operate distributed applications containing containers, virtual machines and binaries from a single console. Calm enables push-button lifecycle automation managed by enterprise policies for governance and compliance. It offers native support for cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenStack, Xen, VMware, Nutanix, as well as complete support for the Docker ecosystem.
Locus: Locus is a machine learning startup focused on simplifying logistics. With pluggable algorithms for everything related to logistics, Locus helps traditional logistics businesses with service like hyper-local delivery, intra and inter city logistics and helps them gain a technological edge over the others.
Report Bee: Report Bee is deep focussed education data analytics company that mixes Humanities, Statistics and Computer Science. It is a cloud based software product that will digitalise school report cards and give school’s academic analytics at fingertips.
Reverie: Reverie helps businesses to connect with their audience in their own language. Its cloud-based language-as-a-service-platform helps translate, transliterate, input and search on web in many Indian languages.
