Four Indian-based startups have been selected to represent Asia in Startup Chile program in its 15th batch.
Startup Chile is an accelerator program that attracts early-stage, high-potential entrepreneurs to bootstrap their startup using Chile as a platform to go global.

Care Buddy is a cloud and mobile-based platform that acts as a personal digital assistant for a variety of healthcare needs. It enables people to manage their family’s healthcare like scheduling appointments, diagnosis & medicine delivery, healthcare monitoring, health records & billing.

Founder: Rishikesh Gorantala
Rightaway is a mobile-first, real-time communications and community management platform, with integrated business process workflows for both intercompany and external use cases. It is alternative to Slack for businesses.

RyMM is a tool for teachers, students, and parents to collaborate in real time. It lets the teachers give a live feed of students daily classroom activities, academics and behavior progress to parents. Its premise is that the teacher-parent link needs to become far more dynamic than the traditional methods of report cards and PTA meetings.

MindHour is a curriculum-based adaptive learning program that uses a gamified approach for students aged between 10 to 15 to make the study of math and science more engaging. It uses freelancers from Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT) campuses to create the learning content.

The programme received over 2400 application from startups across the world included industries such as IT & Enterprise Software, Education and Healthcare. Out of which, it chose 97 startups globally for the six months accelerator program that started in February 2016.
The startups in the batch will receive about $33K, a working visa for a year and access to the largest startup community in the world to accelerate their startups in chile.
They will also have the chance to apply to the new follow-on fund Start-Up Chile SCALE. It offers about $90K to companies that have significant traction, are generating revenue, and that need the extra capital to grow in Chile & expand to the rest of Latin America. (Only companies that have first passed through the six-month program will be eligible to apply for this fund.)
As for Startup Chile program, it is an innovation hub to reach startups in Latin American economies to attract early stage, high-potential entrepreneurs to bootstrap their startups in Chile. Startup Chile has graduated over 1000 startups from its accelerator program.
