Delhi-based Alchemy’s LimeTray, which operates an online platform that helps restaurants to run their day-to-day operations including ordering, online presence management and customer relationship management, has launched the ‘restaurant OS’, a single app to manage integration of business across channels and partners of restaurants.

The Problem

As more and more customers move online, the crucial problem faced by restaurants today is of integrating with the food aggregators, wallet companies, last-mile delivery companies, personal assistant apps and more.

This requires collating customer data on every front leading to repetition of effort, which is humanly not possible to efficiently manage 10 tablets all buzzing at the same time during peak hours.

The Solution

Limetray’s restaurant OS is a single app that works both on desktop and mobile to help restaurant manage and integrate restaurant’s channels and partners from one single place to see unified view of the business making it easy to manage daily and monthly operations.

Piyush Jain, co-founder of LimeTray said, “We initially designed it for the merchants to manage their phone and web orders better, but there was a constant feedback to add more partners, hence we have on-boarded a few delivery and payment partners. We are constantly working on getting more partners on-board to make this system more useful for the merchants.”

The app is live with over 1500 outlets including RoadRunnr, Pickingo, Grab, Mobikwik & Paytm. Moving forward, merchants using the app will very soon be able to accept orders from food ordering startup Swiggy.

According to LimeTray, Burger King is one the biggest users of its app in India. Raj Varman, CEO of Burger King India said that Burger King constantly aims at enhancing its customers’ experience, and therefore it is important to have sound backend support system which not only improves efficiency, but also maintains right quality checks. He added, “From the call center to managing online orders to mapping our delivery partners, Limetray’s association enables us to easily manage everything from a one single window.”

Founded by ISB alum Akhilesh Bali along with Piyush Jain, both former execs at FoodPanda India, LimeTray provides a suite of products like online stores, mobile apps, virtual telephone, Point-of-Sales system & CRM system built from scratch for the F&B businesses to help restaurants manage their online presence and marketing efficiently. It presently counts over 1500 merchants across India & Middle East as paying customers. Last year, the startup had raised its Series A round of funding led by Matrix Partners.
