Ruchit Garg‘s 9Slides, a mobile multimedia learning solutions venture, has been acquired by US-based employee engagement platform Limeade. However, the deal value remains undisclosed as of now. 9Slides allows users to create and share online presentations that can sync up videos side by side.
Limeade will rebrand the 9Slides technology and offer it as an add-on product to its well-being and engagement platform. Ruchit, 9Slides founder, will play the role as a director of project management in Limeade post the acquisition. He said “There’s tremendous synergy here – both our technology and our passion for creating delightful human-centric experiences.”
Washington-based Limeade is founded by Henry Albrecht and Erick Rivas. Its contract-based employees are working from Hyderabad. Limeade inspires people and companies to improve their health, well-being and performance. Commenting on the acquisition, Henry Albrecht, CEO of Limeade, said “the 9Slides team had built game-changing technology that we know will delight our customers, and inspire employees to take control of their own health and well-being.”
Ruchit Garg hails from Lucknow. He moved to US in 2008 to work for Microsoft’s Xbox division. Previously, he has also founded a mobile VAS company SiliconVerse and worked in other areas like text-to-speech systems. 9Slides had raised $1 Mn led by Dave McLure’s 500 Startups and served customers like Comcast, LinkedIn, Volvo and Skanska.
