Delhi-based tech platform that simplifies legal and business related matters, LegalRaasta.com, has raised $1 Mn (INR 6.7 Cr) in angel funding from two high net-worth individuals, Pravin Khandelwal, chairman of a leading cleaning solutions manufacturing company, and Yatin Kumar Jain, owner of fashion brand Amyra by Odhni.

Started in 2015 by a team of chartered accountants and management consultants, Himanshu Jain and Pulkit Jain, LegalRaasta, helps startups and small business owners in solving legal compliance related to starting and running their business. The startup aims to organise professional services industry in India by providing a technology driven one-click access to individuals & businesses for all their legal & professional needs. It offers over 50 kinds of services including facilitating company incorporation, FSSAI food licence registration, service tax, and trademark registration and import export code registration. It also helps customers with registrations, licences, and tax filing via simple DIY forms.

The startup plans to use the newly raised capital to expand its team, strengthen their tax returns and marketplace verticals, and set up full-service offices in metro cities. It also intends to improve its technology platform and add more legal documentation services. Presently, Legalraasta has a network of 100+ professionals including Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Lawyers, Cost Accountants, Chartered Engineers and Bankers.

LegalRaasta has also partnered with Intuit, a provider of business and financial management solutions for SMEs, for its accounting software.
