Bengaluru-based doorstep laundry startup LaundryAnna has secured $150K (INR 1 Cr) in Seed funding from angel investors.

Founded in 2015 by Prateek Rana, it offers on-demand laundry services in South Bengaluru. The platform claims to process over 3,000 garments per day. According to an official statement, it operates on a full stack model and owns the complete supply chain – from logistics to garment processing – and does not outsource any of its orders.

Commenting on the investment, Prateek Rana, founder, LaundryAnna said, “We plan to expand to other areas in the city with a combination of hub and spoke model and physical stores. Owing to the stringent focus on quality and turnaround time, we are not considering franchising the model. We will continue to have in-house processing and upgrade the existing infrastructure to cope with expanded operations.”

It works with an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system that allows the user to directly place the order via their phone/app, without needing to wait for an operator. The startup assures doorstep pickup and a 48-hour delivery time.

It has partnered with hostels like Symbiosis Institute, Serenity Group of hostels, IIIT-B etc., to facilitate its business and ensure repeated customers.

Earlier this week, Gurugram-based on-demand washing and dry cleaning startup, PickMyLaundry raised an undisclosed amount in funding from FMCG executive Kedar Lele and existing investor, GreenHouse Ventures Accelerator (GHV Accelerator). In March this year, app-based laundry service provider OneClickWash, secured an undisclosed amount from Unitus Seed Fund.

Other players in this segment include Urban Dhobi, SBricks, Wassup, Laundry Wala etc.
