Gurgaon-based digital media network, SVG Media, that runs businesses like Tyroo, DGM, SeventyNine and Precision Match has announced that it is merging Komli Media’s India business and global brand rights with itself.

However, the financial detail of the deal has been left undisclosed.

With this merger, SVG Media aims to become India’s largest mobile marketing company with a 60% combined share of digital ad-tech spends in India and a reach of over 150 million Indian Internet users across all screens.

After the merger, it is expected that the new SVG Media group’s consolidated India revenues will stand at over $50 Mn, just less than Google and Facebook India revenues.

SVG group works with almost every online commerce, mobile first and consumer brand in the region; driving reach and performance to them through its products such as Product Listing Ads, Affiliate Marketing, Dynamic Re-Targeting, Video and Native Ads and Social.

Through its operating brands, SVG Media will now have operations in India, Indonesia, Middle East, Singapore, Japan, Beijing and Australia. SVG claims to have more than 75% of its business through mobile.

The merger is being taken as the biggest instance of industry consolidation in recent years, creating a giant independent mobile reach for advertisers in India and Southeast Asia.

According to Manish Vij, founder and CEO of SVG Media, Komli’s merger will scale company’s reach in Social Media as the company plans to be the first billion dollar digital marketing platform from India.

Last year, SVG had acquired mobile video technology platform Seventynine and digital agency Networkplay to become India’s largest advertising technology company with over $40 Mn in revenues and 8% market share of digital media spends in India.

Harish Bahl, founder of Smile Group said, “The Indian mobile advertising industry is expected to be valued at $3 Bn by 2020. As per our estimate, SVG is now three times larger than its nearest competing mobile marketing platform in India. We are confident that the merger with Komli India will bolster the SVG platform to continue building and offering the best in the industry media and technology infrastructure for its advertisers – owning the ability to deliver 100 Million mobile-commerce transactions every year.”

Under the deal terms, Komli India will function independently alongside the SVG Media group’s other businesses.

Mumbai-based APAC’s digital media technology company, Komli Media, yesterday spun out its integrated cross-channel CRM platform RevX to focus on mobile app re-engagement opportunities globally.

According to merger details RevX will continue to operate as a standalone company unrelated to the merger.
