Gurgaon-based food-tech startup InnerChef has acquired two startups in the food tech domain including Bangalore-based EatonGo and Gurgaon-based Flavour Labs.
With the acquisition of Flavour Labs, InnerChef will leverage the learnings of running mobile kitchens. The acquisition of EatOnGo will give it a foothold in the markets like Bangalore, while building a network of kitchens to be closer to customers and create an intimate food experience.
Co-founder of InnerChef Rajesh Sawhney said “These acquisitions will help InnerChef deepen its offerings to the two of the fastest growing markets in India that is NCR and Bangalore. We are also acquiring awesome talent who share our passion for food and technology. We are on a high growth path and are excited about building India’s biggest food-tech platform.”
EatonGo was bootstrapped in 2015 by Udit Saran and Taru Raaj Agarwal. The startup was a food commerce platform that specialised in breakfast delivery. It managed to raise seed funding from friends and family in its initial stages and also counts one of its investors as Rajesh Sawhney.
The acquisition of EatonGo will help InnerChef to expand its presence in Bangalore. Udit Saran, co-founder of EatOnGo added “I am excited to play my part in InnerChef and build operations and supply chain of a fast growing national food brand.”
Flavour Labs was founded in 2014 by Nandita Shetty, Rohan Rajgarhia, Ankur Agarwal and Vasanth Kamath. The startup was conceptualised at the Stanford Business School’s Ignite programme in innovation and entrepreneurship.
