Income tax filing portal, Tax2Win, has raised around $1 Mn (INR 6 Cr) from an undisclosed business house.

Tax2Win was founded in February 2015. It enables users to file income tax return in three simple steps – file it yourself, CA assisted, or CA reviewed. Self-filing is free, while CA reviews cost $1.50 (INR 99) and CA assistance costs $4.50 (INR 299). With a team size of 40, half of its employees are Chartered Accountants.

The Jaipur-based startup was founded by Chartered Accountants Abhishek Soni (co-founder) and Vertika Kedia (co-founder), and Shishant Todi (CTO). It claims to have more than 10K users and done over 35 corporate partnerships.

The major portion of funds will be used for marketing, research & development, and improving existing technology. The in-house team of CAs and engineers are already focussing on service delivery and product development.

Tax2win’s future plans include rolling out innovative products that can help with finances, and an improved platform to save and manage taxes.

Similar startups in this space include Quicko, ClearTax, Taxsmile etc. In June 2016, ClearTax raised $12 Mn (INR 80 Cr) in Series A round of funding led by Ravi Adusumalli of SAIF Partners.
