Gurgaon-based home services startup, HELPI, has raised an undisclosed amount in angel round of funding from a group of IIT alumni and few investment bankers who are based out of the US.

The startup will utilise the funds for team expansion and product building.

Handy Online Solutions Pvt Ltd owned HElPI was founded in 2015 by Piyush Peshwani, Sariputra Waghdhare and Vineet Bansal. The platform provides a time-based pricing model wherein the blue-collared professionals have a mobile application, that acts as a timer & job manager for them while on the job. The startup offers standardised home cleaning services.

Domestic cleaning professionals register themselves on the app, and post verification, they undergo training that is publicized digitally. Users can then avail the services of these professionals via the Android app, and provide feedback for the same.

The services start at INR 149 for the first hour including the visiting charges, and then charges INR 25 on completion of every 10 minutes. As of now, the services are available in Gurgaon, and parts of Delhi, however, the startup is planning to enter five more cities by next year.

HELPI is also looking to add verticals such as car cleaning, and maid-on-demand to its services portfolio.

Players operating in the home services marketplace include Housejoy and UrbanClap among others.
