Mumbai-based HEAL Institute, a sports-focused healthcare startup, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of high-profile investors including former Standard Chartered ace banker Jaspal Bindra and son of JSW Group chairman Sajjan Jindal, Parth Jindal.
Parth has invested in the startup in his personal capacity.
Shayamal Vallabhjee founded HEAL Institute in 2012 to promote a healthy, active lifestyle through the empowerment & education of the therapist & patient. He has been a sports scientist and technical analyst to the 2003 Indian world cup cricket team. HEAL Institute is proclaimed to be the only sports medicine & high-performance centre that was conceptualized to offer a holistic approach to health and wellness. The startup has a team of physicians & scientists that helps the institute to not only cater to the sports science needs of an athlete, but also take the clinical approach to sports medicine.
The startup plans to use the fresh round of funding to expand its presence to various geographies. It also plans to raise $ 5-8 Mn in future.
