Goibibo Launches Flights + Hotels On Its Android & iOS App

Online travel platform, Goibibo has announced that it will now offer users option to book “flights + hotels” in a single cart through its mobile app.

With this development, users can now search for flights between origin and destination, and can also add a hotel in real time. On one hand, it is an advantage of price saving while on the other hand, it will provide a simple 2 tap process for checkout and payments.

The company’s 60% of hotel bookings & 40% of flight bookings comes through its mobile app.

As per the company, the app has crossed 6.5 Mn downloads and further, it aims to reach 11 Mn installs by the end of this year. The company has witnessed 5x growth over last year.

In the air category, Goibibo grew by 85% year on year, outstripping the growth of both the incumbents as well as the market.

How it works

With a single tap, users can book a hotel with their flight booking, and also see the amount saved.

Users can easily view details of the hotel they want to bundle with. Details such as hotels’ pictures, location, room details, bundled price saving along with Go Reviews and ratings of the hotel will be provided.

The mobile app also enables consumers to view other hotels that they can bundle with the flight by simple left swipe of the hotel.
