Hyderabad-based venture capital and private equity firm, Anthill Ventures in association with Hyderabad-based startup engine T-Hub is hosting the semi-final of the Global Mobile Challenge 2016 competition in Hyderabad on December 9-10, 2016.

The Global Mobile Challenge brings together teams from each continent through regional finals culminating in the final in Barcelona in February 2017. Winners from Hyderabad will represent India at The Global Mobile Challenge Asia Pacific event in Singapore and subsequently, the global event at Barcelona.

Startups winning the competition will receive training, education, and access to an international network of mentors, angel investors, venture capitalists, and industry leaders.

Startups and entrepreneurs working towards developing mobile-based apps can participate in the event. The event aims to bring together entrepreneurs and innovators who have developed apps, IoT, and other mobile solutions in both software and hardware.

Launched in 2013 in the Middle East, Global Mobile Challenge a global competition across five continents, which selects apps and solutions for mobile devices developed by young entrepreneurs around the world. The event claims to bring together 1,500 apps, 5,400 participants from 55 countries.

Earlier this month, T-Hub completed its first year and hosted celebrations for the same where it announced a slew of strategic initiatives to boost the Hyderabad startup ecosystem.
