Merchandising Startup Gingercrush Raises $1 Mn In Pre Series A

Online merchandising and product customisation platform, Gingercrush, has raised about $1 Mn in Pre Series A round led by Saha Fund. Mohandas Pai’s family office, Zia Mody (AZB Partners), Mumbai Angels, Ananda Kallugadde of NeoAngels, Rakesh Desai and Rakesh Malhotra (SAR Group) also participated in this round.

With this Ankita Vashistha, founder of Saha Fund will join the board of directors. She has over 8 years of experience in private equity and venture capital and is part of Indian Angel Network.

Pranav Pai from TV Mohandas Pai’s family office will also join the advisory board at Gingercrush.

Gujarat-based, Gingercrush, was founded in 2015 by Saumya Nidhi and Rajvi Makol. It is an on-demand retail platform where consumers can shop and customise products. The products include mugs, T-shirts, coasters, mobile covers, canvas prints, bathroom sets, shot glasses, etc. It has over 100 brands on its website.

Saumya Nidhi, Chief Operating Officer, Gingercrush said, “The merchandising and product customisation arena is the next big thing after mainstream retail in India, we hope to break through the barriers of competition in the road ahead”.
